About Us

The Laboratory for Computational Ontology (LCO) makes theoretical and practical researches on the formal axiomatic foundations of ontologies related to semantic web, knowledge representation, automated inference, textual entailment, and hybrid computation. The LCO members are coming from different disciplines such as philosophy, mathematics, biology, biomedical engineering, computer science, statistics, economics, and computational linguistics.

The main focus of the LCO is to construct a Source Ontology that can be applied to certain fields in natural and social sciences.
